Media Release – Successful applicants from the latest round of Sports Grants announced.

CMOC-Northparkes Mines (Northparkes) and Parkes Shire Council have announced the latest recipients of our Sports Grants Program.
Each year we contribute $30,000 towards the Sports Grants Program. This is in partnership with Parkes Shire Council and Parkes Sports Council . Northparkes Managing Director Jianjun Tian said Northparkes recognises the importance of sport in sustaining a healthy and happy community. “By providing financial assistance through the Sports Grants Program in partnership with Council, we’re able to support a range of different teams and clubs within the local community,” he said.

The recipients from this round included:
• Bogan Gate Recreation Reserve Land Manager
• Parkes Croquet Club Inc.
• Parkes District Netball Association
• Parkes Railway Bowling Club
• Parkes Touch Association
• Sporting Shooters Association Parkes Branch
• Currajong Disability Services
• Parkes District Netball Association
• Parkes Golf Club Co-op Ltd
• Peak Hill Tennis Club

Secretary of Parkes District Netball Association Kellie Ostini said receiving this grant will help our club provide more equipment for our players and a safe space for spectators, who are both valuable members of our netball community. “We appreciate the support from Northparkes and Parkes Shire Council and can’t wait to continue sharing our love for netball with the community,” she said.
A total of $28,810 in grants was allocated in this round This means there will be $33,650.36 available in the next round of the Sports Grants Program, which opens in February 2024.
