Northparkes offers a residential lifestyle, with most of our employees and their families living in the Parkes Shire.

Parkes has the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of a country town, and an extensive range of services and facilities. The town boasts a strong community spirit with high participation in sporting, recreational and community activities.

Parkes is home to the national icon, ‘The Dish’ and has become more recently known as the ‘Elvis Capital of Australia’ with the Parkes Elvis Festival attracting around 20,000 visitors annually.

Flexible work arrangements
We recently reinforced our commitment to life balance by formalising flexible workplace arrangements. We have also provided opportunities for several employees to take career breaks pursuing various other activities and later returning to work.

Developing the skills of individuals
Northparkes invests significantly in the training and development of its employees. Staff are encouraged to gain a range of knowledge and experience during their employment with Northparkes and are provided with ongoing training opportunities to broaden their skills base.

Subsidised private health cover
Employees and their immediate families have access to generous subsidised private health care packages.

Superannuation contribution
Employees who elect to transfer their Superannuation accounts to the company’s preferred Superannuation provider receive an additional superannuation contribution.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Northparkes has an employee assistance program available for employees requiring support or counselling. The EAP allows all employees to access qualified counselling through designated external and independent providers. Any service provided is entirely confidential.
