A Parkes-local, Rob joined Northparkes as a Process Operator at the beginning of the Northparkes story. He joined the Site Leadership Team in 2010 and in 2013 assumed responsibility for the Health, Safety, Environment and Farming portfolio. In 2015 Rob was appointed as Manager Mining role. Rob was recognised by the NSW Minerals Council in 2018 with the “Outstanding Contribution to Mining” award. After enjoying long service leave, Rob chose to come back to Northparkes. Rob’s knowledge of the operations, his unwavering commitment to safe and reliable production and his genuine commitment to people and community will be invaluable as we open a new chapter at Northparkes under Evolution’s ownership.
Manager – People, Safety and Environment
Stacey joined the Northparkes team in 2012 as the Training Superintendent and joined the Northparkes leadership team in 2014. Coming from a background in education she has a passion for training and development. Stacey has a Masters of Education from the University of Canberra and holds several other graduate and postgraduate qualifications. Stacey recently spent six months with CMOC International working on their acquisitions in Brazil and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. She is also the Chair of the Northparkes Wiradjuri Executive Committee.
Manager – Technical Services
Sergio first joined Northparkes in 2017, and was appointed Manager – Technical Services in 2023. Prior to taking on the role, Sergio has acted as Manager of Mining, and E26L1N Development Superintendent and Underground Production Superintendent at Northparkes Mines. Before joining Northparkes Sergio worked across different roles in both technical and operational environments within Australia and overseas and has worked in the mining industry for over 22 years. Sergio holds a Mining Engineering degree from University of Santiago, Chile.
Manager – Asset Manager (Acting)
Nathan started at Northaprkes in 2010 and is currently the acting Manager – Asset Manager. Prior to taking on the role of Acting Manager – Asset Manager Nathan has held the position of Superintendent – Maintenance Improvement. Nathan joined the Northparkes team as a Graduate Engineer with the reliability Team, and has held a number of senior engineering roles. Furthermore, he holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree from the Swinburne University of Technology.
Manager – Ore Processing
Mitch commenced at Northparkes in 2016 as the Operational Technical Engineer within the IT Team. During his time, he has worked in many different roles across the business including Process Control Engineer, Senior Process Control Engineer, Senior Plant Metallurgist, Ore Processing Technical Superintendent and more recently he has been appointed the position of Ore Processing Manager.
Mitch has been in the mining industry since 2011 starting as a Graduate with BHP where he worked in a number of roles including Smelter Metallurgist for 4 years specialising in production planning, analysis & Improvement and process control, he holds a Double Major in Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering and is passionate about the development of People & Culture, and the integration of data and technology in processing.
Manager – Mining
Johannes joined the Northparkes team as the Manager – Mining in April 2023. With an extremely strong technical background in mining engineering and operations, and demonstrated experience in safety and production performance, Johan is responsible for Underground Production, Underground Development and Open Pit Mining Operations.
Johan brings over 30 years of experience from his time in the mining industry working in Western Australia, Victoria, Queensland and South Africa, and holds the Mine Engineering Manager Ticket – statutory position at Northparkes.
Acting Finance Manager
Glenn joined the Northparkes Team in 2014, as the Senior Financial Accountant. Glenn was appointed Finance Superintendent in 2021, and has been acting Finance Manager since March 2022. Prior to joining Northparkes Glenn has worked in accounting for over 20 years, as a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Financial Administration and Bachelor of Laws, with honours
Acting Supply Chain Manager
Simon joined the Northparkes Team in 2022 as the Contracts Superintendent, with a strong background in the Legal and Resources industry. Simon currently acts as the Supply Chain Manager at Northparkes. In his career Simon has gained extensive experience in contract management and procurement, contract risk analysis and negotiation, compliance (export control and economic sanctions) and commercial disputes. Simon has over 13 years in the legal industry and has received celebrated awards in the resources sector.
