Producing what it calls the “miracle of copper, gold and grains”, the Northparkes Mine is a vibrant and growing part of Parkes and the Central West. As Australia’s fourth largest producer, Northparkes is a major employer for the whole region. Importantly, Northparkes is a leader in mine safety and will this weekend compete against other underground mines in Bendigo in mine safety games. Having won the comp the past two years, Northparkes are firm favourites to take out the trifecta. I enjoyed catching up with Northparkes Managing Director Stefanie Loader and Justine Fisher at Parliament House today.
